Obagi vit C serum – beauty product of the year!

I am really happy to be back to blogging. Last year brought a lot of new experiences which I didn’t really have a chance to talk about. I tried tons of new cosmetics which more or less impacted me. The one that stood out and continues the journey with me is Obagi Vit C serum. It is such a miracle in a bottle I have to shout about it and spread the word about its power.

Obagi Vitamin C serum is a highly concentrated L-ascorbic acid, the only form of vitamin C suitable for topical application. Obagi professional Vit C serum comes in three different strengths 10%, 15% and 20%, depending of the skin type. It unfortunately contains alcohol and fragrance which might irritate some people but I haven’t heard any stories from my friends who are using it.

I like 10% one as I have a sensitive skin and find 15% a bit harsh although it is perfect for Mr K who is lucky enough to have a normal skin. I adore this serum as it is one of these products that really makes a visible difference to your skin after one use. It protects the complexion against skin damage, wrinkles and inflammation. I apply it in the evening on the cleaned and toned face, it is however recommended for the day use – I follow this up with a moisturizer as it can be a bit drying, it is a serum not a hydrating solution after all but penetrates the skin deep down. You need to remember about always wearing a sun screen when using vitamin c serum to avoid any discoloration. Every morning I wake up with a fresh, light, glowing skin, it gives this just been on holiday kind of look. It is very effective in reducing acne especially the size of pores and scaring as well. I can not recommend it enough!

I agree it is a bit pricey – 10% concentration cost about £65 but it is worth saving for and lasts about 6 months with daily use. It is only available in professional skin clinics and online.

It is in my opinion a better product than Zelens High Potency Vitamin C drops and Perricone MD Vitamin C Ester serum. It is a completely different league from Ole Henriksen Truth Serum.
